To reach the house by public transport, travel from Norwich to Sheringham by bus or train (The Bittern Line).

Berry Cottage is a two storey mid terrace house located on the outskirts of Sheringham. Situated near Beeston Bump, which is the highest point of the Norfolk Coast Path. Offering stunning views over Sheringham and Cromer to the East.

Berry cottage is situated just off Nelson Road. The town centre is a 16 minute walk away (0.7 miles), here you will find a variety of shops and a supermarket.
The beach access via a slope and steps at the top of Cliff Road is approximately 0.4 miles, 11 minutes by foot. Or an alternative route with no steps is approximately 0.6miles, 14 minute walk, take a right at the bottom of Cliff Road.

The closest supermarket is Tesco, there is also a small Sainsburys in the town centre open 7 days a week 7am-11pm. Sheringham has a range of other shops selling fresh local produce including bakeries, a green grocer, seafood, health stores and gift shops. There’s also a wide variety of ice cream shops, cafe’s, pubs, restaurants and take-away’s, Other amenities include a doctors surgery with dispensary, two chemists, a hardware store, toy shop, petrol station, launderette and an indoor pool and leisure centre – The Reef.

  • The beach!
  • Walk along the Norfolk Coast Path just head to the top of Lawsons way turn right down the dirt track to access the path to Beeston bump, Sheringham, Weybourne, Cromer and beyond.
  • National trust  locations, there are a few National trust parks in Norfolk, including Felbrigg, Blickling and also Sheringham Park which is close enough to walk to.
  • The steam train (The Poppy Line) goes to Holt via Weybourne.
  • For children and adults alike… Amazonia zoo, Wroxham Barns or BeWilderWood.
  • Play parks – There are a few around Sheringham, the closest is along Cromer Road and another just off the west promenade. 
  • Check out what’s on at Cromer Pier or a book one of the spectacular shows at Thursford.
  • Venturing further afield try The Broads or the vast expanse of Holkham Beach.
